My Story
I didn't always want to be a graphic designer but somehow it was always gonna end up that way. I was always the artistic kind in school. Drawing and doodling any chance I could get. I was attracted to colors and the way things were placed and positioned. I loved logos and packaging so much that I would collect whatever I could get my hands on. My focus in school was never art because I never did see a career in it. I shifted all my creative energy to media. Deciding the television and movie industry was my life long journey I went to school for media/broadcast journalism. This is where things got interesting. With one of the programs I got into they gave me the Adobe creative suite for free. Here is where I discovered the world of graphic design being a potential career. In addition to using the video editing software provided by adobe I began to dabble and play with Adobe Illustrator, InDesign and Photoshop. I began making logos and posters for some friends and eventually gained some clients through word of mouth. I refined my skills and decided to go back to school and learn something I couldn't online. I attended the 3 year advanced diploma graphic design program at Mohawk College. Here I learned valuable skills and lesson that made me the designer I am today.
